Knowledge and skills are easy to see, but what is not seen is really valuable in education. HWA has always taken multicultural international education as its educational feature, emphasizing mutual understanding and respect between different cultures while demonstrating the excellent traditions of Chinese culture. Through international education based on IB standards, we strive to impart knowledge in line with the development of world science and technology and culture, and cultivate international awareness to adapt to the trend of today's world economic and social development.

In order to grow into a person with excellent character and academic performance and high moral standards, it is essential for young people to learn the necessary life skills. Life skills include critical and creative thinking, decision-making, effective communication, and skills to develop healthy relationships and positive self-concept. Life skills help people make responsible and informed choices and can promote healthy lifestyles and career skills. Such as self-recognition, such as communication and cooperation, such as learning to learn...

At Hanhe International School, we aim to train students to:

Active bilingual learners, solid teaching landing effectively realize the domestic and international curriculum "double integration".

Based on core literacy, corresponding to the different performance of each age group, with the knowledge and skills needed for life.

Featured project practice courses bring teamwork and cooperative exploration, so that children have an international perspective, see the real world, and learn to solve problems in the real world.

Caring and principled community members allow children to know more about themselves, understand others, embrace change, find their inner interests and passions, and blossom infinite possibilities.

Cultural exploration, promoting inclusion, advancing learning and strengthening the spirit of community solidarity - these are the essential themes that will be at play during HWA International School's International Day on Saturday 28 October.

The opening ceremony highlighted the importance of cultural coexistence and the values of embracing diversity. The principal's message reminded every child of the importance of promoting tolerance and respect for different cultures.

In the setting of the Open Day, students from different grades represented different countries. Through their own learning and exploration, they made exclusive works to express the history and culture of each country. Grade 3 and 6 students first gave a fascinating presentation about Egypt, showing the history and wonders of this ancient civilization. They shared what they have learned about this ancient country over the past few days for the International Day, allowing the audience to marvel at Egypt's rich cultural heritage.

The Year 7 and 8 students served as ambassadors for Papua New Guinea, the country from which Nicole in the group is from. Through interactive quiz games, they share interesting facts about the country and encourage active participation. This immersive experience promotes a deeper understanding and appreciation of Papua New Guinea customs and traditions.

Year 5 students represented the UK on stage. They not only introduced the audience to British culture, but also presented a traditional dance that showcased their traditional elegance and grace.

10th graders demonstrate the cultural influences that shaped the United States, presenting interesting facts about famous musicians, landmarks, and movies, and showing the influence of American brand culture on various countries.

The Year 11 and 12 students represented Brazil and organized a series of games that allowed them to experience the vitality of Brazil and participate in the preparation of the famous Brazilian dish, Feijoada.

HWA is committed to promoting inclusion in the exploration of all cultures and to nurturing global citizens who appreciate and respect different cultures, and we look forward to future events that continue to celebrate and enrich the diversity of our school community.

HWA International School is the first school in Singapore to integrate the cultural characteristics of overseas Chinese, offering short-term summer/winter schools and micro-study programs for students from all over the world, providing all students with the opportunity to experience HWA's unique bilingual and bicultural curriculum by enlisting students in our existing programs.
